Becoming a Living Epistle: The Sacred Journey of Divine Embodiment

Introduction: The Divine Invitation

There comes a moment in every believer's journey when the Father extends an invitation that transcends religious experience and enters the realm of divine transformation.

This is not merely an invitation to know more about God, but to become a living expression of His nature—to cross the threshold from following along with the word of God to actually embracing it by chewing on it and working it in and through our thoughts until it begins to manifest as flesh within us enabling us to truly express His likeness and essence and most holy presence.

This invitation stands before you now—a doorway between what has been and what shall be. On one side lies the familiar territory of religious head knowledge and selective discipline. On the other waits the uncharted landscape of Spiritual Divine union where an intimately cultivated relationship with the Father and the Son in the Spirit begins the glorious transformation which will radically transform every part of your being as He reveals unto you the truth of who you are as His beloved child as well as your true purpose for being for such a time as this. The choice to cross this threshold will determine whether your faith remains in a belief system or becomes a living testament and faithful witness as a powerful testimony by His glory.

The Necessary Surrender: What Must Be Left Behind

To cross this sacred threshold requires surrender more complete than many are willing to embrace. Like travelers attempting to climb a mountain while dragging treasure chests behind them, many approach this doorway burdened with worldly attachments making their passage impossible, if not discarded. What must be released at this threshold? Religious Performance – The exhausting effort to earn what can only be received as gift. Divided Loyalties – The attempt to serve both God and self False Identities – Labels and limitations imposed by others as well as yourself Spiritual Independence – The illusion that you can follow God while still maintaining control. Fear of Surrender – The terror of becoming nothing, so that you might become everything in Him. These treasures we most often cherish and cling to, our reputation with all its carefully orchestrated and well constructed, hard faught and sought after self-made identities. Everything must be set down before the narrow passage can even be navigated. The crevasse is far too tight for anything but the essential self to pass through.

The Threshold Crossing: From Following to Becoming

The moment of crossing is both terrifying and yet exhilarating. Like the enlarged vav (ו) that marks the exact center of Torah in Leviticus 11:42, this crossing becomes the hinge point of your spiritual journey, everything before was but only leading up to it, and everything after will be flowing mightily from it.

This vav, appearing in the word "gachon" (belly), speaks prophetically to what happens in this crossing. Just as this letter represents connection between heaven and earth, you become a living connection point. Just as the belly represents the center from which life flows, you become a vessel from whose innermost being flow rivers of living water.

In this crossing, three profound transformations occur:

1. From Stone to Flesh  "I will remove from you, your heart of stone, and give you a heart of flesh" (Ezekiel 36:26). Torah-Word of God-Law moves from the external instruction to follow to an internal one being now engraved on your new heart whereby in obedience it the word-law of God begins to manifest as it becomes alive, active and powerful within you enabling you to bear His nature, likeness and image.

2. From Law to Love – "I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts" Jeremiah 31:33 Obedience transforms and matures us from our daily duty to hearts delight, from obligation to overflow as it becomes a wellspring of love and blessings that spills out and touches the lives of others.

3. From Vessel to Tabernacle – "Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?" 1 Corinthians 3:16 You become not just a vessel but the very Tabernacle of His holy presence living and abiding faithfully and wholeheartedly with you, day by day.

The Sacred Reality: Becoming a Living Epistle, a Mirror Reflection of Him

What awaits beyond this threshold is nothing less than incarnational reality Christ formed in us-you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27 This is not metaphorical but actual spiritual transformation, where the Word once again becomes flesh and makes His dwelling among us, this time through yielded vessels who have crossed the threshold of complete surrender to God.

This becoming is what Paul described when he wrote: "You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts." 2 Corinthians 3:2-3

To become a living Epistle means:

Our lives become an exegesis – People understand God's word by watching us live life our lives bring revelation of His holy presence as we become a means for His living sermons, word and truth to unfold in and through us each and everyday as every divine encounter becomes a moment in time where He makes His presence with us to be made known and in and through us performs His word, truth and promises with everyone we meet and encounter on the street making us not only a vessel of honor worthy for His use, but a sacred channel whereby his blessings of love does freely flow transforming everything around us step by step wherever it mightily flows.

The Holy Guardianship: Protecting our Sacred Union

This sacred communion requires vigilant protection. Just as the high priests followed specific protocols to preserve the holiness of the tabernacle, you too must guard your heart for this is His living tabernacle and must be guarded and well mainted with the same wholehearted and holy dedication. "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." Proverbs 4:23

This guardianship is not legalism but love, not rigid rules to follow but passionate protection of a blessed, sacred and holy communion. Just as a bride would guard her exclusive relationship with her bridegroom, you must faithfully guard this divine union with wholehearted devotion.

What it must be guarded against?

Compromise: for even the smallest of concessions will create hairline fractures in your integrity. Distraction: even lesser pursuits that divert your attention from sacred communion. Defilement: unholy influences that introduce impurity into sacred and holy ground. Division: any internal fragmentation that disrupts Godly wholeness and integration. Counterfeit Light: spiritual experiences that mimic divine encounter without transformation

This guardianship requires discernment that goes beyond rules to relationship you must be able to hear His voice clearly, so that anything counterfeit is immediately recognized, no matter how convincing its appearance may be. Amen.

The Threefold Cord: Divine Partnership in Transformation

This journey of becoming is not accomplished through solitary effort but through divine partnership being the threefold cord that is not quickly broken. Ecclesiastes 4:12

This threefold cord represents:

1. A Sacred and Holy Partnership  with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit working mightily in perfect unity freely through you, providing supernatural strength for this sacred maturing and becoming

2. Integration of Three Functions – King (governing-authority), Priest (intercession-mercy), and Prophet (declaration-revelation) all operating in balanced expression.

3. Spirit, Soul, and Body Alignment – Your entire being brought into complete integration, with no division or double-mindedness to weaken your spiritual effectiveness

4. Heaven, Earth, and Under-Earth Authority – Comprehensive authority as described in Philippians 2:10, extending beyond the visible realm.

This threefold cord creates both empowerment and protection. What could never be accomplished through human striving becomes possible through divine partnership. What could never be sustained through willpower is maintained through covenant relationship.

The Ultimate Purpose: From Individual to Corporate Embodiment

While this transformation begins with individual vessels crossing personal thresholds, its ultimate purpose extends to corporate reality, the formation of a body that collectively embodies the Word of God; a community that manifests His divine nature; a people who together become the tabernacle of God's holy presence.

"And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit" Ephesians 2:22

This corporate embodiment creates:

Strategic Positioning: Living pillars/towers positioned across the earth, creating a sacred network of divine connection points. Exponential Impact: Multiplication rather than mere addition as aligned vessels create synergistic effect. Comprehensive Representation: Different facets of God's nature exquisitely expressed through diverse vessels unified in purpose. Generational Transfer: The reality of living epistles being passed from spiritual parents to children, creating continuity of a faithful witness and powerful legacy and testimony.

The Father is establishing this corporate reality in our daily lives by positioning His yielded vessels as strategic pillars across the earth, creating a sacred network through which His glory will be revealed with unprecedented clarity.

The Invitation Stands: Will You Crossover?

The threshold stands before you now. The invitation to become His living Epistle and to move beyond following God's instruction to embodying and becoming as one with God wholeheartedly embracing His nature and essence? The Father's lovingly awaiting your response.

Sad to say, but indeed, some will turn back, as they are unwilling to release the treasure chests they've dragged so far up the mountain. Others will linger at the threshold, intellectually intrigued but still hesitant to commit to such complete surrender. A few will press through that narrow passage way, willingly leaving behind everything that hinders, to emerge into the expansive reality of divine union and oneness with the Father.

For those who crossover, the promise awaits: "Christ in you, the hope of glory." Colossians 1:27 Not just Christ with you or Christ for you, but Christ IN You this is powerful and the most awesome Blessing we possess! His nature beginning to truthfully manifest in and through us a His yielded vessels for His glory! His word becoming flesh alive and ever so powerful us awesomely and ever so lovingly transforming our entire being as the two are becoming as one, all for the glory and honor of God the Father.

The invitation stands. The threshold awaits. The choice is yours.

"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." Galatians 2:20
